Space
The drawing you create
becomes a new & extra space in the multiverse -
a new part & expression of yourself
that didn’t exist before -
a new territory
entirely under your ownership
The 5 Dimensions of Space in Drawing
1> Impact: Tools & Materials / being able to do something
What supplies do you want to work with, if there are no limitations?
What are you able to work with right now?
What needs to be done to get from working with what you have, to working with what you want?
2> Stamina: Personal Process / being able to rely on yourself
Where would you most like to work - and, alone or in collaboration?
Where are you able to work right now?
What space does your work need?
What space do you need, want for your future work - or do you need to find your future work?
3> Time: Problem-Solving / being able to manage yourself, others
What objects, topics, styles & methods do you want to work with?
Are you hiding behind, inside or under any of your choices?
Are you creating from a comfort zone, or from the wilds of your personal territory?
4> Change: Testing & Releasing / let your work answer for you
Where do you want to share your work?
Does location affect what you want to say & how you want to say it?
Where are you able to share your work right now?
5> Energy: Protecting Space / stay ahead of the curve
Who do you want to share your work with & who should you avoid?
How do you want to include other people’s spaces, work in the ways you think & create?

Is Space An Absolute?
Its specific qualities can change -
can be made to change -
but it absolutely defines, sets,
a ‘within’ & ‘without;’
whatever we include & leave out -
picture details, colours, materials, feelings -
is up to us,
but we can make good & bad,
strong & weak decisions,
if we haven’t done our homework.
These are the big, broad ideas of the Space section in Workbook #4, and from here we break the ideas down from theory to application,
into easier words through conversation & journaling - finding the spaces your concepts have been taking up in your mind.
